Abstract

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which the sensitivity uneveness of a photoreceptor drum is corrected by changing the emitted beam intensity of a laser, and incorporating a storage means for storing information on the sensitivity uneveness of the photoreceptor drum in the photoreceptor drum itself, to correct the sensitivity uneveness based on the information. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus, information on the sensitivity uneveness of the photoreceptor drum is recorded in the storage device incorporated in the photoreceptor drum, when the photoreceptor drum is manufactured, and is transferred to a controller for controlling the body by a method mentioned as follows, so that the correction is performed to eliminate the density uneveness of an image by changing the emitted beam intensity of the laser based on the information. (1) Serial communication is conducted by arranging a conductive layer such as a power source layer, a GND layer and a signal layer on the rotary shaft of the drum and in a drum housing, and forming a circuit pattern for a memory by utilizing the layers. (2) Spread spectrum communication is used for data communication, by arranging the conductive layer such as the power source layer and the GND layer on the rotary shaft of the drum and the drum housing, and supplying power to a memory circuit. 【課題】感光ドラムの感度ムラをレーザ発光強度を変更して補正する画像形成装置において、感光ドラムの感度ムラ情報を記憶した記憶手段を感光ドラム自体に内蔵し、その情報を基に補正を行う。 【解決手段】感光ドラムの製造時に感光ドラムに内蔵した記憶装置に感度ムラ情報を記録し、その感度ムラ情報を以下に記載する方法で本体制御用コントローラに転送し、その情報を基にレーザ発光強度を変更して画像の濃度ムラをなくすように補正を行う。1.ドラムの回転軸及びドラム筐体に電源層、GND層、信号層などの導電層を設け、それらの層を利用してメモリ用の回路パターンを作成し、シリアル通信を行う。2.ドラムの回転軸及びドラム筐体に電源層、GND層の導電層を設け、メモリ回路に電源の供給を行い、データの通信にはスペクトラム拡散通信を用いる。3.特別な導電層は設けることもなくメモリとして非接触メモリを用いる。 【選択図】 図1
